(Sports Network) - Jerome Randle led California with a game-high 18 points and eight assists, as the Golden Bears defeated the UNLV Rebels, 73-55, as part of the Global Sports Classic.

Four other Golden Bears (5-0) scored in double figures, including Jamal Boykin with 15 points. Patrick Christopher and Theo Robertson tallied 12 points apiece and Jorge Gutierrez finished with 10 off the bench in the win.

Wink Adams and Oscar Bellfield led UNLV (5-1) with just 10 points each and Rene Rougeau collected a game-high 11 boards in the loss.

California built a 39-26 halftime lead by shooting a eye-popping 55.6 percent from the field, including 6-of-7 from three point range. UNLV, in contrast, shot an abysmal 25.8 percent in the first half.

The Golden Bears used solid defense and an 11-of-17 effort at the foul line in the second half to cruise to the 18-point victory.

California outrebounded UNLV, 50-34, in the game.
