Las Vegas, NV -- (Sports Network) - Toney Douglas scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Florida State Seminoles to an 80-77 win over the California Golden Bears in the final round of the Global Sports Classic at the Thomas & Mack Center. Douglas shot 10-of-11 at the free-throw line before fouling out, while reserve Uche Echefu contributed 17 points in just 22 minutes for the Seminoles (7-0) as they remained undefeated. The Bears (5-1) were paced by Jerome Randle who posted 26 points on the strength of his 16-of-18 effort at the charity stripe, while Patrick Christopher and Theo Robertson accounted for 17 and 16 points, respectively. Cal missed all five shots from three-point range in the first half and finished a mere 10-of-26 from the floor, en route to a 32-23 deficit at the break. In the second half the Bears better than doubled their first-half production, but with FSU hitting 52 percent from the floor and 18-of-23 chances at the free-throw line it simply wasn't enough. The Seminoles managed to pick up the win despite turning the ball over 18 times and collecting just five offensive rebounds on the night.
