GAME NOTES: The Stanford Cardinal wrap up a three-game homestand tonight, as they take on the Colorado Buffaloes as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series. The Cardinal have yet to be defeated on the young season, boasting a 3-0 overall mark. Most recently, Stanford played the second of three straight home games and emerged with a 76-57 victory over Air Force on Wednesday. It was the second straight convincing win for the Cardinal, which downed CS- Northridge 103-85 to kick off its homestand. As for Colorado, it kicked off the season with four straight home games, going 3-1 during that stretch. The team was last in action on Tuesday, when it defeated Lafayette by a 73-59 score. It was the second win in a row for the Buffaloes, who will open another four-game homestand after this bout. With regard to the all-time series, Stanford holds a 6-3 edge over Colorado and it has won the last two meetings.

The Buffaloes drained 51.2 percent of their attempts from the floor and 23- of-30 from charity stripe, as they beat Lafayette on Tuesday. The team also had success from beyond the arc, where it went 6-of-14. Cory Higgins led the charge with 24 points and three steals. Dwight Thorne II added 14 points and three steals, while Austin Dufault and Nate Tomlinson chipped in with 11 and 10 points, respectively. After four games, Higgins leads the team with 17.8 ppg and he is also grabbing 6.0 rpg and dishing out 3.8 apg. Thorne II checks in with 13.5 ppg and Default rounds out the double-figure scorers with 11.5 ppg.

The Cardinal knocked down 12-of-25 shots from three-point range and all 10 of its free-throw tries, as it coasted past Air Force on Wednesday. The squad won the battle on the glass, 31-26, and even clamped down on defense, forcing 20 turnovers. Anthony Goods made 5-of-11 shots from downtown and he led Stanford with 20 points. Lawrence Hill logged 18 points and Josh Owens had 14 in the winning effort. On the season, Goods tops the roster in scoring at 21.3 ppg and he has converted on 11-of-24 tries from distance. Hill has also enjoyed a solid start, posting 18.0 ppg to go with a team-high 7.0 rpg. Owens contributes 12.0 ppg and 5.3 rpg for Stanford, which is scoring 84.7 ppg as a team.

Stanford has the advantage playing this game at home and it also has a few more weapons than Colorado and that should help it prevail tonight.
