Practice Philosophy
Dr. Romans feels strongly that it is important that plastic surgeons maintain their roots in all areas of plastic surgery. While he really enjoys cosmetic surgery, he feels that continued use of the skills required to do complex reconstructive surgery is critical. The skills required to do the most complex of reconstructive procedures hones the techniques of a plastic surgeon and makes him or her that much better of a cosmetic surgeon. He has also been involved with Second Chance, an organization that rehabilitates former gang members. Dr. Romans has donated his time regularly for over ten years to use the laser to remove tattoos from these individuals who are trying to undo mistakes made earlier in their lives.
Private Life
Dr. Romans is married and has two children. He has many hobbies including computers, violin playing, running, and reading. His professional sports passions include Baseball, Football, and Hockey. Dr. Romans retired with an honorable discharge as a Major from the United States Army Reserves in August 2002 after serving in a reserve capacity for 12 years.
