What City Pays Most For Auto Insurance?

Drivers in Detroit pay more for car insurance than those in any other city, a study from Runzheimer International found.The group, which calls itself a vehicle costing and consulting firm in a news release, found that the average driver in Detroit pays almost $5,200 a year for auto insurance.That's about $4,400 more than drivers pay in the least-expensive city, Roanoke, Va., where premiums average $758 a year.
They were based on both male and female drivers of mid-size sedans with clean driving records and include comprehensive, collision, bodily injury, property damage and uninsured motorist coverage.Most Expensive Cities
