SALINAS, Calif. -- Several county courtrooms and court offices will be relocated during the current courthouse remodeling project, court officials said.

The following changes take effect on Tuesday:

• Misdemeanor departments 6 and 7 will be relocated to Building 5 behind the County Government Center.
• The Superior Court clerk's office and file viewing room will be relocated to the second floor of the west wing.
• Court human resources and the court administrative office will be moved to the third floor of the west wing.

All buildings used by the Salinas court will continue to have a single, secured point of entry and those using the buildings will be subject to search.
